Dorking Explorer Scouts Take On The Yorkshire Dales

For 4 days after Storm Babet subsided members from the Dorking Explorer Scout Unit undertook their practice Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award hike across the Yorkshire Dales National Park!
This involved them hiking with all their camping, food and clothing for 3 days and two nights covering just under 60km! They will then have their qualifying expedition in 2024 with the hopeful aim of reaching their top award, The King’s Scout Award!
